Day 335 - Lisa

A lot of walking and talking till 4am this morning along with the healthy consumption of some Spanish wine had me moving really slow today.  Thankfully it was just cooking with my sister in the morning and going to see Lincoln in the afternoon.  Even the cat had to rest 1/2 way up the stairs.

Day 335 - Sis

We decided to go see Lincoln this afternoon.  Daniel Day Lewis was excellent as always.  The movie is long and since most of the audience was my age or even older, I was surprised the film wasn't continously interrupted with loud snoring or people asking, " What did he say?"

Day 334 - Lisa

My sister is here!  Flew in yesterday.  Today we did the "VIP" CNN Studio tour, walked Centennial Park, went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden Holiday Light Display and had dinner at our favorite bistro in Decatur, Cafe Lily.  Very nice day.  Kicked off the Christmas season in the best way possible - my mom and sister, all of us together.

Day 334 - Sis

Yolanda arrived yesterday and we spent it doing a little catching up. Today was our day to get out, starting with a tour of CNN and a walk through Centennial Park.  This evening we went to see the Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens second annual event.  It was much more decorated than last year and impressive.  However it may be an omen to a Blue Christmas. Hey start tuning up Elvis's holiday album!

Day 333 - Lisa

Bah Humbug!  We didn't win the Lotto.  Guess we'll keep decorating the house.  We were SURE we were going to gift our house to one of my employees who actually wanted to live in GA and calling the movers to come get our stuff.  <sigh>

Day 332 - Lisa

See the red table?  If you turn it around it has a big hole where the draw should go.  Another piece of furniture ordered from Target that nearly put me in the nuthouse.  Tears almost flowed trying to get the drawer to go inside.  Where is the drawer?  In the garage wrapped in a blanket awaiting a rescue team.

Day 332 - Sis

The other night Lisa came home with these three Christmas towels she found on sale. Today while unpacking  some of our Christmas bins I found these. Guess both us forgot we bought these nine after the holidays when they were clearance!

331 - Lisa

When we first moved to Georgia my mom said, "All I know is real soon baby Jesus better be on my front lawn."  Took four years but there be the holy one finally.

Day 331 - Sis

Oh no, Santa down!  Looks like one of my many Santas didn't make the trip across country three and half years ago.   This Serengeti Santa made the trip here safely but is now returning to California.  Unfortunately it isn't because I'm returning with him, he belongs to my sister and was packed with our stuff. Swear it wasn't an attempt to steal him!

Day 330 - Sis

It's Monday evening, going to sit down and read the paper which tells me I'm already behind this week!

Day 330 - Lisa

I cannot believe we had to pay someone to hang our Christmas lights.  So used to having family in California and a ranch style home.  So we could either tackle ourselves or call a relative to help.  Payment usually being a hot meal or two.  Aye yi yi!  There was NO WAY I could get up on a ladder here.  That was way too high for my whimpy self.  After my mom untangled our lights from our Livermore home and only half of them lit up I decided to just replace with LED.  Another Aye yi yi, that certainly wasn't cheap but the nice little surprise is our lights now TWINKLE!  How cool is that?!  It's been a bit frustrating because we have no porch for which to put out all the decorations we used to in Livermore but on the other hand I still cannot feel my fingers or toes from doing lights in the cold so it's ok.  Excuse me, I know have to go thaw my hands.
