Day 14 - Lisa

Just like the SF Giants run in 2010, we are here in ATL all by ourselves; my mama and I. Facebook was our saving grace to feel like we were home with family and friends through the playoffs and ultimately the World Series.  It was so much fun.  Yesterday was a repeat of that fun.  Our beloved SF 49ers beat the NO Saints in the Divisional Play-Offs.  So sweet it was.  Fantastic game and we got to share it long distance; thank you technology.  You make being away from home way different than when I did it back in the 80's!

And Alex Smith, yesterday, your steel nerves and that tiptoe dance down the sideline for that TD must have brought you the sweetest redemption.  Congrat's.  Smith to Davis, now belongs with Young to Rice, Montana to Rice-Taylor-Clark-Solomon!!!

Day 14 - Sis

They did it! The 49ers made everybody believers today. If this was the last game of their season, so be it because they were spectacular and they are winners and will be back for many seasons. What a great day for them and me.

Day 13 - Sis

Hey, in California this is enough gear for walking your dog! In Georgia weather with a high of 39, low of 21 and time of walk temp 26 not enough. :-/ Frio, frio, damn cold.

Day 13 - Lisa

oneeya may have never set foot on California soil but we are working hard to train her.  ;>  Getting her prepped for the 49er game on Saturday.   Yes, this is a SF Giants scarf BUT it has the SF initials on it.  And her fur borders between red and orange. Yeah, Yeah, that's the ticket.

Day 12 - Lisa

Even my cat gets mail catalogs?!

Day 12 - Sis

Here is an example of cold days and comfort make for normally strange bedfellows. How comfortable are they together? Look at their eyes!

Day 11 - Lisa

It was a very foggy drive to work this morning.  I had to explain tule fog to the Georgians.  Every once in the while I use terms or phrases that perplex them.

Day 11-Sis

Jukebox. This product was invented in the late twenties and still around. You don't see as many now of course but they have the same effect for me as always, joy and memories. I am old enough to remember going into a bar with my dad, (no age limit then), as a child and heading straight to the fabulous machine where I could hear many types of music for a nickel a play. It helped that many of the fellas in the bar liked to please us kids with buying a round of cokes and handing us quarters to hear our favorite music selections. The smell of wood, leather, also a sweet odor I never identified and music. One of my favorite pleasures even today.

Day 10 - Lisa

My crew bought me a 4 piece dish set for Christmas called Espana.  LOL  I think I've been talking about all my personal items being in storage too long.  I appreciate the nod to Spain, my mom's going to be so jealous when I sit down to eat dinner with my setting.  ;>

Day10 - Sis

As footballl winds down I am waiting with anticipation for the boys to get back here and there!

Day 9 - Lisa

Excited!  Will be seeing the musical Memphis at the Fox in February!  We wanted to see this while in NYC but could not get tickets.

Day 9 - Sis

Day 8 - Lisa

I had to work all day.  Came home and listened to "oldies" from YouTube.  My cat mellowed out with me - she seemed to favor the Moonglows, Willie Dixon, and Iko Iko by the Dixie Cups.  She's got good taste.

Day 8 - Sis

The chair waits for that familiar body to rest in it. My daughter comes home from work, after long hours, in the early evening, puts on her pjs,(yes she always dresses for dinner, she's very classy that way), eats, and sits here to relax. She clicks on the iPad, watches tv and within 10 minutes she's napping.....hard. I change the channel and turn up the sound. ;0
