After digitally capturing each day initially in 2010 my Mom (Sis) and I (Lisa) decided to challenge ourselves again in 2011. We went with a different approach; captured whatever enticed us on a weekly basis. So here we are in 2012 deciding now just to keep to the daily challenge of a picture a day from now till whenever we get sick of doing it! There might get some journaling along with our digital images. Whatever we decide, we'll try to be entertaining. Sarcasm is guaranteed!

Day 308 - Lisa
It's inventory time! 19 straight days of work. Parts and tools. I'm already loopy and it's only day seven.
Day 307 - Sis
Okay, like yesterday saw a need to do some more work with plants. For me it's the dreaded ivy! It attaches itself to trees and the house here, so I decided to go to work on certain areas. Of course the yard is not flat anywhere so I had to struggle up some slopes to get to the ivy growing on the brick and siding. I ripped, snipped and swore a little while attacking it. Tonight I also feel like my right side has been ripped and snipped and I swore a little because I may have pulled a muscle in my side. HATE IVY!

Day 306 - Sis
First day of November and that means time to plant bulbs. I'm just hoping these make it and will produce blooms in a few months. If they flourish as much as my tomato plants this summer I'm going to feel successful with one flower!

Day 305- Sis
After an exciting Halloween, for oneeya last night, I decided to take her for a walk this afternoon. Apparently she was drained from the festivity. As we entered the front yard and were no more than ten feet from the front door, she had stop to rest. The pumpkins were still shamefaced from last night's disappointing turnout and begged me to put them in the backyard. As you can see there was a dark shadow over the whole fiasco.

Day 304 - Lisa
Halloween has always been big in our house. Love dressing up. My mom always made our costumes growing up from things in our closets, from Goodwill and even once made me a Big Bird costume from feathered plant hanger. It was a sight. This year I decided to be a Pajama Zombie. 1) because it was a good excuse to wear my jammies to work 2) because I spent most the past 4 years feeling like a zombie. So I embraced it. LOL ;>
Day 304 - Sis
The resident zombie lit the pumpkin candles, the candy was ready, first treat given at 6:10 p.m. the last at 8:55 p.m. Twelve?! Yes, twelve costumed characters was the total for the night. Tricksters I must conclude is what we got this year. What is wrong with America, when in a neighborhood with kids, yes I've seen them, it can only produce twelve little beggars to show up at your door in three plus hours? So sitting here with almost four full bags of candy that our sugar levels and calorie intake do not need. I may be standing outside tomorrow afternoon and throw candy at the school bus as it passes by.

Day 303 - Lisa
Spent Tuesday night prepping for our Halloween get together at work on Wednesday. My mom and I rolled 80 breakfast burritos and I carved my "Giants" pumpkin for our contest. I also had to get my zombie costume together.
Day 303 - Sis
Busy today getting ready for the little Trick or Treaters tomorrow night. Hope we have a lot of them to take home the four bags of candy bought. Of course in my day we were full of hope and greed, going out with a pillowcases for our loot! When you have a lot of siblings collecting, it means you can open a candy store the next day. Didn't happen, mostly we just tried to find our own hiding spot. In a one bedroom house with nine people in it, three girls sharing a bed, hiding your bounty made you a very creative person!

Day 302 - Lisa
Suffering a Giants Sweep hangover today! Not sure I can add anymore to everything we've already said in 2010 and now leading up to the 2012 Championship. Just unbelievable and it never gets old we are learning! We had a moment of panic when the power went out before the game started. My mom was running all around the house finding flashlights and candles. It did not interfere with even the animals readiness for game 4!
Day 302 - Sis
Last week of October is almost finished, that means we get to start the countdown to my other daughter's, Yolanda, visit here. Looking forward to lots of laughing, some sightseeing and comfort food meals. Also there's an item that traveled across country, sat in storage for three years she can retrieve. This box, holding some of her memories, was stored at our previous home for years! Bonus, Lisa and I will have more space in our basement. Hey every little bit helps. ;-

Day 301 - Sis
Day 301 - Lisa
Got up early to go grocery shopping as today is going to be a busy day; plan to go see the movie Argo and watch Game 4 of the World Series. I never get sick of seeing the beautiful trees change colors. Our community is glowing in color right now. Just a trip to the grocery store makes me feel happy and blessed. The wonder of Autumn in upon us. The weather has gone from the high 70's to the mid-low 50's over the weekend. Breaking out the sweat pants and the hoodies! Yay! Looking for a Giants sweep tonight! ;>
