Day 70 - Lisa

While my mom was scoring a cookbook bargain, I found this Christmas platter.  It was marked for $9.99 but the manager gave me a 50% discount.  I did not even ask for it.  <shrugs shoulders> So I got this wonderful glass holiday scene for $4.99.  Just what I needed something else Christmas.  ;>

Day 70 - Sis

Driving around today stopping at different stores to browse and look at a few things when I saw the Salvation Army store and asked Lisa to stop. It was a delight with all kinds of items to behold and I found this cookbook. Price was right, originally $25, so I snapped it up!

Day 69 - Sis

Tomorrow oneeya will visit her favorite getaway and try out her new nap mat. The doggy daycare she loves is running a special, for the month of March the fee is only $10. She can enjoy the day with her canine friends at a minimal price. She won't be able to go every Saturday due to a problem with transportation, luckily she has no idea what a calendar is.

Day 69 - Lisa

Muy delicioso!  Dinner tonight was my favorite pasta and a couple glasses of this vino.  Hit the spot after weird, intense, off the charts week.

Day 68 - Sis

Besides these beautiful file cabinets I've collected quite a paper logjam. While going through the statements, receipts, etc. I also found programs, tickets, boarding passes, vacation pamphlets. Two years, nine months living here and from the looks of it, I've been pretty busy.

Day 68 - Lisa

A good friend from work surprised me this morning with this little planter of flowers.  Perfect for my desk and very helpful to my mood.  Thank you Laura!!!  It's been a rough week!

Day 67 - Lisa

I was made fun of and I heard the snickers when people would see me washing my utensils @ work.  That's fine, laugh at the California hippie green recycling freak.  Funny, now I see more utensils making their way into the lunchroom cabinets drawers.  We need to be kind to Mother Earth, people.

Day 67 - Sis

"Hope springs eternal", beginning of a poem from: Alex Pope An Essay on Man, Epistle 1, 1733. Now forward to 2012 and some parents of school age children may be thinking, "Hoping Spring's eternal!"

Day 66 - Lisa

I suck at math.  Always have so it's ironic that I spend my day planning production schedules, creating forecasts, dissecting data and creating demand segmentation formulas.  Serves me right for running into Home Depot yesterday and buying the cheapest tape measure I could for a quick project.  Like Waldo, find the foot marker.  It was like torture having me try to divide inches into feet.

Day 66- Sis

Have I told you some of the reasons I don't enjoy apartment living? Even if I have, here are three other reasons. 1-Can't have an outside grill. 2- Don't have a gas stove. 3- Stove doesn't have a SELF-CLEANING OVEN! Believe it or not I like a very clean stove to cook on and in.

Day 65 - Lisa

This means nothing but TROUBLE!  And usually leads to picture #2 which happens while I'm sleeping.  It's usually because at 3am said Warrior Kitty needs some affection or God forbid she can see a dime size empty spot at the bottom of her food bowl.  Trust me, the fin sticking out of the water with the looming Jaws stalking musical score in the background is tame compared to the "EARS."

Day 65 - Sis

This rabies tag was added to oneeya's collar. She appears to like the color of the little heart and the jangle noise it makes. I, on the other hand, lost all color and only heard the cha-ching as I paid for her annual visit and the other vaccines, blood, urine and fecal analysis done. The pay-off, she's healthy and that's worth the cost.

Day 64 - Sis

Along with the sleep tracker app Lisa posted about, we also have the Weather Radio app for updates and warnings. I have three conditions checked off on my list; severe weather warnings, flooding status and fire. So I will hear a very nice male baritone wake me at times during the night. Some would say that is sad that it's the only time I'm woken during the night by a nice male baritone. LOL.

Day 64 - Lisa

If you follow the blog you know that I'm struggling to sleep at night.  After another week of tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling and feeling like a zombie during the day my doctor suggested I try a natural sleep aid because I'm a sissy lala and did not want a "prescribed" medication.  I just get nervous with pills that are not directed for a "serious" illness and beginning a road of dependency.  So I followed his orders and bought this sleep aid.  I had to laugh when I got the package because another bottle was included.  Green Tea?  Am I to drink this when I take the pill?  So I went and researched it on the WORLD WIDE WEB.  Aye yi yi!  I should have known.  Thus, my anxiety went up because now I'm thinking just what the heck did I order?  Am I going to be a speed freak now?  Some thing tells me that by taking this so called Zenergreen, I'm just not going to look like the chick in the bikini.
