Day 7 - Lisa

Wish I was back here today!

Day 7 - Sis

It's been a year since we visited the Atlanta Zoo for the first time. The weather is very cold again so think it's time to return. Last time it was too cold and all the animals were not out because of the elements. We should go and find out which animals we will not see this year!

Day 6 - Lisa

Trying to detox myself off the chocolate!  Oh how I will miss you See's candy but my complexion and waistline (or lack of) say you gotta go!

Day 6 - Sis

While home for the holidays we visited a small museum that displayed the old amusement park history of the entire West Coast. When my late husband, Terry, and I dated we would go to San Francisco to Playland At The Beach with our friends. It was a big deal for us, we enjoyed the area it was in and the rides. That's a lie. There was this one particular ride I dreaded and hated because it was one of my husband's favorites and that's why I rode it. The WILD MOUSE! A two seated car on a tightly wound track of turns and dips, pretty much like the big boy roller coasters only you didn't sit side by side. Boy it seemed faster and scarier than any ride I had ever been on. Also being nearsighted and not wearing glasses, (not cool then ), I only saw blurs so when it would come to a turn, it didn't look like a turn to me, more like a launching pad. Of course being the shorter one I got the front seat. Reminds me of a War song, "That's What Love Will Do."

Day 5 - Lisa

Love this cool old picture of my great great grandpa Mariano Moniz (the Sausage Man) of Moniz Linguica.

Day 5 - Sis

As you can see from my molting poinsettias, it's hard for me to let Christmas go, sigh.

Day 4 - Lisa

I miss my Grandma Emily, here she is at Disneyland back in 2001.

Day 4 - Sis

Getting back to normal by cleaning and found these mementos of our New England vacation. Would like to return there one day but just not ready for its winter season. Of course a moose sighting would be a must for my daughter.

Day 3 - Lisa

Love this picture!  My Great Great Grandma Josepa Buelna Watson Olivas Moreno, (my half Great Great Aunt) Susie Olivas, (my half 2nd cousin) Kessie Olivas, my Great Grandma Frances Moreno Moniz and my Great Great Grandpa Francisco "TaTa Pancho" Moreno.

Day 3 - Sis

Oh yes NY reading has been neglected. I have decided to read three articles from each of these periodicals. The decision making of which ones should be done by the time next issues arrive might be more stress than I can handle.

Day 2 - Lisa

I bought these items on sale before Christmas so I could bake cookies.  Never even took either out of their boxes.  <sigh>  Maybe Valentine's Day?  Um, probably next Christmas.

Day 2- Sis

After the holidays I feel and look like this parsley, limp and green. UGH.

Day 1 - Sis

I am going to have to buy a wall calendar and that ticks me off, really. As some of you may remember when businesses of all types would hand them out with their logos every year. I mean you would end up with enough to have a calendar in every room of your house. It was like a zucchini crop, where you would beg people to take one!

Day 1 - Lisa

I've decided to try and find the pleasures in the small things this year, focus less on all the stress and challenge myself to find one positive a day to keep me from feeling like my heads going to blow off my neck.  Hopefully, I can do this through picture-taking.  Course when we did this back in 2010 finding a damn picture EVERY day was a lot of stress.  Oops, there I go, nevermind... <humming "Whistle While You Work">!!
